Christina Sayut —
Designer and Educator
My work is rooted in the belief that design should be both beautiful and functional. My undergraduate thesis, Kinware, explored this through a conceptual ceramics brand focused on accessibility: featuring wheel-thrown tableware designed with form-fitting grips to better support a wider range of users.
I’ve worked across editorial, branding, and campaign design. As Graphics Editor for The Observer at the University of Notre Dame, I led the design of print and digital editions, creating layouts, illustrations, and infographics while managing a team under tight deadlines. As Social Media Coordinator for Campus Ministry, I contributed to a full brand refresh and developed content that more meaningfully connected with students. I also bring a background in education, having taught middle and high school visual and digital art. That experience continues to shape my approach to design as something participatory, exploratory, and human-centered.
Currently, I’m expanding my practice through graduate study, with a focus on branding, typography, and visual systems, while also exploring experimental media. I serve as a Teaching Assistant for Sophomore Typography, where I continue to engage with design through both making and mentorship.
