    Recalibration

    36” x 48” poster

With this project, I got to curate and design my own glossary for my design practice with any terms and definitions that I wanted. To me, the answer was quite simple: recalibration.

The proper definition of recalibration is “calibrate (something) again or differently” and to calibrate is to “carefully assess, set, or adjust (something abstract).” To me, recalibrating is to take a moment to reset when things are not so clear.

I felt inspired by many things making this poster, but mostly how I felt emotionally. I checked in with all of the emotions present in Pixar’s Inside Out, and assigned them terms and definitions that can relate back to my design practice. It is less about feeling better, but more about being able to identify these feelings and sit with them while they are present.

This poster, while full of big type, has some really fun small moments too.
