The Observer
From March 2022 to May 2024, I was a part of the student-run newspaper at the University of Notre Dame, The Observer. I handled various graphic requests and layouts, and handed the style guide that was in use from 2023 through 2025.
I started as a graphic designer in March of 2022, where I created various graphics for our arts department, known as Scene.
In September of 2022, I added on a second job of Ad Design Manager. As Ad Design Manager, I organized the advertisements for the paper and set the template for each printed edition. I communicated with clients to design original advertisements.
In April of 2023, I became the Graphics Editor for the department. As Graphics Editor, I created multiple print and online graphics for the publication. I worked on the style guide, as well as managed a team of graphic designers who fulfilled the various needs of the paper. I ran point on the design of the Irish Insider, which was a special full-page or half-page graphic that ran during football season and other high-profile events.
