Hi, I’m Christina Sayut — a Boston University graduate student with a passion for branding, typography, and thoughtful design.
I earned my B.F.A. in Visual Communication Design from the University of Notre Dame, along with minors in Studio Art and Musical Theater. My senior thesis, Kinware, combined my love of craft with inclusive design. I created a conceptual ceramics brand that reimagined tableware for accessibility. Each wheel-thrown piece was modified for a more form-fitting grip, catering to a wider range of users, especially those with hand tremors. This project deepened my belief that design can be both beautiful and functional, elevating everyday experiences.
Professionally, I’ve worn many creative hats. As Graphics Editor for The Observer, Notre Dame’s student-run newspaper, I led the design of print and digital editions, crafted illustrations and infographics, and managed a team to deliver visually engaging layouts under tight deadlines. I also served as Social Media Coordinator for Campus Ministry, collaborating on a full brand identity refresh and creating campaigns that connected more meaningfully with students. These roles strengthened my skills in branding, typography, editorial design, campaign strategy, and storytelling, all anchored in the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Before returning to school full time, I worked as a Visual Art and Digital Art teacher, leading middle school and high school classes that encouraged curiosity, craftsmanship, and creative problem-solving. Guiding students to experiment fearlessly with both traditional and digital media reinforced my belief that design is most impactful when it invites participation and builds connection.
Now, as a full-time M.F.A. Graphic Design student at Boston University, I’m expanding my expertise across the full spectrum of design—deepening my skills in branding, typography, and visual systems while exploring new territories in motion design, UI/UX, and experimental media. This next chapter is about pushing my creative boundaries, refining my technical craft, and developing innovative, human-centered design solutions that can make a lasting impact.
Feel free to explore my portfolio, and let’s connect if you’d like to collaborate.
