    Ossorio Rebrand

    Logo

    Wordmark

This project tasked me to take a boutique shop from my hometown and refresh its brand. As a devored patron of Ossorio Bakery & Cafe, I wanted to be able to breathe new life into their brand identity. I wanted to balance tradition with modernity, while still staying true to the shop’s charm.

My process began with a deep dive into understanding what the brand’s values and current visual identity were.

Current visual identity and social media presence

After checking out their online presence, I was able to boil down their values to be reliable, charming, and community-oriented. They were a local, Florida-based brand and wanted to stay true to that idea. They had been serving the community for years, and were a staple in the mornings of many Floridians.

As I sketched logo options, I wanted the brand to still feel like it lived in Florida but with a more refreshing feel.

    Thumbnail sketches

I used these thumbnail sketches for inspiration as I moved into Adobe Illustrator, where I came up with the idea of combining an orange slice with the “O” in Ossorio.

    Black and white renderings

I knew that I wanted to stay on a “Florida” theme, and I was a fan of the green in the current Ossorio logo. I wanted to keep a call to that original brand, so I chose to move forward with green and orange in the final visual identity for the brand.
